Okay, listen! We have all had our fair share of fashion crimes, and sometimes we are just having an "off" day - but panty lines and g-string crimes are “The Fashion Disaster of 2006.” It is time for some serious repackaging.Last week, while eating sushi at our favourite quaint little spot, an attractive young woman sat down only to expose her g-string hanging out of her low cut jeans. Not exactly the vision we were expecting while enjoying our dinner. Now, the question is...did she know what her backside looked like at that moment? Probably not.
Perhaps we could blame this on the overdrive of low cut denim phenomena, but this season it is time to end all rear end obscenities. This fashionista should have checked out her backside better.
WHAT THE OPPOSITE SEX SAYS...

Out of curiosity, we did ask a few of our male counterparts what they thought about this topic.
Not surprisingly, their views varied from:
"Generally unattractive and has always figured it to be 'morse code' between women”
to
“Cheeky, flirtatious...dirty"
and finally,
"I don't know what all fuss is about".

The truth of the matter is that for all you fashionistas out there, the visible panty is out and has come a long way from previous seasons where it was hip to have a thong peeking from our backsides. This upcoming season, fashion is all grown up. We are now more modest and fabulously feminine, leaving more to the imagination.
This season let’s toast our martinis to a new womanly silhouette.

SEE | Use a full length mirror with plenty of light to see your backside fully. Take a few steps to ensure everything looks smooth and sexy. HEAR | Ask your partner or best friend to tell the truth. For example ask, "How does my derriere look in these pants?" A simple nod will be a signal enough to make things clear. DO | Treat yourself seasonally to new undergarments. Lingerie is a fashion accessory. There are thongs in all sizes, widths from itsy bitsy to extra large. Try a few different kinds before deciding what works best for you (and YES they do make low rise or hipster thongs for those of you who prefer to wear a 3" zipper jean). Alternatively if the thong is not your preference, try the full bottom or seamless panty or the new in 'the boy short.' Be sure you find a style that covers where your behind meets your thighs. |
